Bon appetite. Rabya Alfadl
It
is no secret that fast foods are high in calories, fat, sugar, salt, and
preservatives.
Fast foods are known to negatively effect a
persons health; leading to weight problems and chronic diseases such as
cholesterol, high blood pressure and diabetes. Given this knowledge, why do we
still find it so difficult to eat right?
Lets face it; sifting through
supermarket shelves, searching for food items containing minimal chemical
ingredients requires more energy and commitment than most people can regularly
give. In addition, most people nowadays no longer have the time to cook up
nutritiously balanced meals using fresh produce, from scratch, everyday. And
yet, there is no greater reward in the long run than taking care of ones
health.
Well, now there is a hassle free way to do
so. Thats because right in the heart of Jeddah, a team of nutritionists
have been working tirelessly to solve this dilemma. Their mission? To create a
wholesome menu that offers the convenience of fast food, minus all the junk. So
theyve created Eater, a place where food is served as nature intended:
nutritious, preservative free, fresh and natural.
Eaters tasty menu includes nutritious
salads, soups, sandwiches and juices. Eaters nutritionists totally reject
the use of processed foods and sauces. So everything at Eater is 100%
preservative free. Even the mayonnaise, ketchup and dressings are made
completely from scratch by Eaters very own chefs.
The natural ingredients that go into each
meal are free of food additives; such as coloring agents and taste enhancers
like monosodium glutamate (MSG). At Eater, organic spices, herbs and flour are
used, to give you the most natural meals possible.
In addition to taking care of your health,
Eater makes it easier for you to look your best. Each item on the menu has been
calorie counted, so you can control your calorie intake and keep yourself
looking trim.
All the items on Eaters menu are
prepared in the store itself, ensuring quality and freshness. Juices are made
in front of your eyes, soups are cooked twice daily, all the ingredients that
go into the sandwiches and crisp salads are restocked twice daily, and a fresh
batch of Eaters own bread comes out of the oven every few hours.
Eater is a convenient take-out concept owned
by Logic, a contemporary marketing company specializing in the leisure and food
industries and founders of Pearls Café. Located on Al Rawda Street,
Eater will open its doors in November.
