Artist: Bedoor Al-Esayi Collection:
Pearls Café Special Commission (2005)
Saudi artist Bedoor Al-Esayi exhibits her work
for the first time, exclusively at Pearls Café.
With a natural inclination towards art since
grade school, Bedoor has experimented with different materials. She favors oil
painting and custom made canvases, allowing her complete control over the size
and thickness of her works.
During 2001, Bedoor produced a series of
paintings which she named Under the Sea. She takes great pride in a
specific piece, which depicts two whales gliding through the water.
Time and experimentation have transformed
Bedoors work. Today, the young artist finds herself gravitating most
towards abstract art. She has great appreciation for shapes, vibrant colors,
and the minimalist contemporary look.
For Bedoor art goes beyond producing an end
result; it is about the process. Art is not an option for me, it is the
way my soul strives to express itself. Sitting in my studio, drinking a cup of
green tea and listening to relaxing music while I paint... there is nothing
more liberating than the feeling I get while I work.
